JFK Martial Arts Summer Camp teaches Perseverance
JFK Martial Arts Covington students participated in a week long karate camp that physically and mentally challenged them thru all day martial arts training. JFK Martial Arts Summer Camp trained from 9am-3pm Monday to Friday. Students, ages 4 to 14, practiced all day on their belt material which included taekwondo forms, self defense on the ground attack, bo staff weapons training, combat sparring and breaking a board with the infamous Superman Punch. Students practiced discipline to have self control (not whining) when they trained outside and endured the summer heat. The glory of earning a new rank was worth it in the end when students each tested to the next belt level. Their perseverance paid off and the pride on their faces was captured in the below picture.
